Started out good but the plot rapidly ran out of steam. By the time I reached the final scenes I no longer cared. Too bad, as it started with such promise.

A very good book. Not to be missed.

Pelecanos continues his excavation of American masculinities with this superior yet half-hearted sequel to THE CUT. Fans of his Derek Strange/Terry Quinn novels possibly won't want to miss page 46.
