Add a CommentI could NOT put the book down!!! i dont think I have ever read a book so fast like I did this one....
It was a great book with lots of action and suspense though the ending was very sad....
Good but not as good as book 1
Great sequel to Legend. I liked the new characters and there were many surprises in the book, including the ending which was sad. I think that the characters developed during this book and that we got to know more about the Republic and the outside world. I was hooked until the end.
This book is kinda sad and depressing which keeps you thinking. I really hate endings that are so expected that i could just guess it right off the bat but the ending for prodigy was very surprising. The plot is very interesting but the love between June and Day seems really forced (it seems like they are tied together by a bond/past that is way past broken but they just dont know it and they try to convince themselves that they love each other). Their love is very exhausing but it's a good read.
Great book! Adventurous, exciting and detailed, all making for a great sequel. I didn't like it as much as the first, and my biggest problems in this one were the same as my problems with the first book-the romances. The "love triangles" felt forced and were unnecessary, and well, there's a moment in the very end when it felt a bit like a soap opera. Minor Spoiler: Only Major issue with Prodigy, is I feel like the series could have ended with this book.By the end, not everything is resolved, not everyone is in a relationship and there are some minor characters that need o be dealt with. But as a reader you could almost infer that things will eventually get better. I felt that way until this one moment at the end, that made me almost cry, and realize that yes, this needs a third book. I'm getting a little tired of YA trilogies, but I love the Legend series, and if the second book was any indication, I'm sure the third book ("Champion", I think) will be amazing.
A pretty solid story - very descriptive in some sections which let you form a good picture in your mind
I read Legend and it was amazing. the detail captivated me to read long after dark. Then there is a sequel!!! I am incredibly excited to read this book.
ther's a 3rd one coming out+a movie is being made. so check the website=www.marie lu.com
I really enjoyed the first book, and this one was a disappointment. Lu made two seperate love triangles, and the romance between Day and June seemed forced and unreal. The plot is really interesting, and there are some real twists and turns. One thing I hated was the underlying gay theme. It is wrong, and to suddenly put it into a book with no mention of anything of it before was both startling and sad for me. I felt that Lu had to have a twist, so she made one of her charecters gay... All in all, a real disappointment. (I actualy went out and bought the book because I thought it would be amazing..) Did anyone read "Outpost" by Ann Aguirre? That was another example of a terrible sequal while the first book was stunningly amazing... Oh well, guess I"ll have to start reading Dickens and Agatha Christie again =)
