OK, I haven't read Game of Thrones yet, so I can't say if this is a YA version. What I can say is that this is a fast paced read and if you are not into YA fantasy, I highly recommend that you start with this series. You will not be disappointed.

Okay, I just wanted to see if anyone noticed...
Why Magnus is exactly the same as Magnus Bane from the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare:
1. Suspiciously, they both smell like sandalwood (dead giveaway!)
2. Similar appearance, except Magnus Bane's slit cat eyes
3. Their names are Magnus, a name not common...

Have I convinced you? Hopefully...

MORGAN RHODES, IF YOU SEE THIS GO APOLOGIZE TO CASSANDRA CLARE FOR COPYRIGHT AND PLAGIARISM!

I enjoyed this book, though I found some of the characters (cough Marcus and Lucia) insufferable. :/

A very, very good book :)

This book really reminded me why I love YA/MG fantasy. *sigh* :) I would recommend this to YA high fantasy lovers. If you enjoy the Storm Glass, Graceling, a clean version of Game of Throne etc., you will love this. :)

Coarse Language: oh you mean like the fact that I swore in church and got forever banned but now I just write swears on paper and hold them up to the windows while everyone is praying and make the few people who decide not to pray, laugh in the middle of it all? like that? no there wasn't much of that at all...because I obviously seem like SUCH a trustworthy person!
