In this season of dying, Cooger & Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show has come to Green Town, Illinois, to destroy every life touched by its strange and sinister mystery. And two boys will discover the secret of its smoke, mazes, and mirrors; two friends who will soon know all too well the heavy cost of wishes. . .and the stuff of nightmare. Few American novels written this century have endured in the heart and memory as has Ray Bradbury's unparalleled literary classic SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. It's traveled a long way on an easy map, with people handy by every crossroad to lend it lustful pints of agony to power it on.

Add a CommentA very creepy book! It does take a while to get into it, but it's definitely worth a read.
Still the creepiest carnival I've ever read about. Highlights the strong bonds between father and son and two friends when an old Evil arrives in a small town.
#imagineteencontest This is a pretty good book. It has many good moments and fantastic writing. Like with all things, it does have its flaws, and some of the things are cliched, like good emotions vs. bad emotions. It's much more of a psychological thriller than an action thriller. Overall, it's a very good book. Read it when you want something a bit scary, but it's not a 100% profound masterpiece.
Didn't get a chance to finish this one although I would like to someday. The concept is intriguing but I find his stuff a little tough to get into sometimes. I'll put in in my 'for later shelf'.
